Lose Hill Mam Tor Walk
Explore Hope Valley with climbing up to the top of Lose Hill and along the iconic ridgeline to Mam Tor. Mam Tor will reward you with one of the most dramatic viewpoints in the Peak District.

Blencathra Hike
Blencathra or Saddleback as it is also known; this magnificent summit although not as big as neighbouring Skiddaw offers fantastic views South into the Lake District, East gives views to the Pennines and to the North across the Solway we have Scotland.

Blencathra or Saddleback as it is also known; this magnificent summit although not as big as neighbouring Skiddaw offers fantastic views South into the Lake District, East gives views to the Pennines and to the North across the Solway we have Scotland. Other points of interest are the spectacular Sharp Edge and the less exposed Halls Fell ridge; although not on today’s itinerary these can be seen whilst on our journey with a view directly down Halls Fell Ridge from Blencathra’s summit. The recently replaced summit ring was man hauled up the mountain by a team of like minded individuals two of which will be leading your walk today.

This walk takes you into the wilderness of the Cheviot Hills and into the heart of Northumberland’s Border Country. Walking out from our start point we cross open moorland then drop into the beautiful College Valley: A truly unspoilt place as there is a restriction on the amount vehicles allowed to enter each day. As we gain the Border Ridge which is part of the Pennine Way we make our way to the summit of The Cheviot, Northumberland’s highest peak (815m).

The Sandstone Trail is one of the finest and most popular long distance walks in North West England, in the UK.
The Trail stretches for 34 miles/55 kilometres and offers superb, unbroken, and often elevated walking across the still largely green and pleasant English county of Cheshire.
It runs from the ancient market town of Frodsham on the broad Mersey estuary, in the north, to Georgian Whitchurch in rural north Shropshire, in the south
For those that would like to complete half of the trail from Whitchurch to Beeston Castle or Beeston to Frodsham on the same day, then this is your chance too. The 34 mile Sandstone Trail is not to be underestimated and if you would like to build up your ability and enjoy a great day out, then the first half of the trail is great to aim for.
